Who can access it?
Anyone in the U.S. or its territories with access to a broadband Internet connection and a supported device. 
And if you subscribe to Disney Junior through one of our participating TV providers (and your subscription is in good standing), you have access to additional features. 
What does the lock symbol mean?

Some Disney Junior content has a lock symbol to indicate that you will need to sign in with a participating TV provider. If you subscribe to Disney Channel through one of our participating TV providers, you will be able to "unlock" more content.

What if my TV provider is not listed?

Not to worry, we are continually adding new cable, satellite, and other TV providers. Keep checking back to see if your provider is added.
If you don't subscribe to a participating provider, you may still be able to watch a select list of full episodes or clips. You can also contact your provider and ask them to support streaming the Disney Channel on your device.

Is there an extra cost to access the Disney Channel app?

You will not be charged an extra cost to enjoy the Disney Channel app.  This is an extra benefit available to you because you are a subscriber to one of our participating TV providers.

Why am I asked to sign into my TV provider?

If you subscribe to Disney Channel through one of our participating TV providers (and your subscription is in good standing), you have access to Disney Channel LIVE and some on demand content. 

Which participating TV providers are available?

To check if your TV provider is participating in our service, go to watchdisneychannel.com/activate.

What if I forgot my provider's username and/or password?
 
If you have forgotten your TV provider’s username or password, you can retrieve your login info directly from your provider's help and support site. You can also register for a new login ID from your TV provider on their support site as well.
Do I use my TV provider account info or my Internet provider account info to sign in?

 

Please sign in using your login info for your TV provider, not Internet provider.

How do I activate my device?
 
Once you choose your TV provider, you will receive step by step instructions to verify your account by using any computer or mobile device. Apple TV will provide you with a unique activation code that you will need in the verification process. 
 
 Follow the steps below to verify your account:
 
1. Go to any computer or mobile device and visit the link provided 
2. Enter the activation from your Apple TV screen into your computer or mobile device 
3. If activation is successful, you will be re-directed to your TV provider login page
4. Login with your TV provider
5. If login is successful, a "Congratulations" screen will play and Apple TV will automatically start
 
If activation code doesn't work, the activation code has expired. To receive another activation code, click the menu button to exit app. Upon entering the app again, a new activation code will be automatically generated.

 

Will I be required to sign-in each time?
 
In most cases, there is no need to re-enter your verification credentials. Some TV providers may require you to re-verify your account after a predetermined time period.
How do I sign out?

1. Scroll to the end of the show list to Settings in the Disney Channel app
2. Select Sign out
3. Select Continue
Please note that if you sign out, you will have to repeat the activation process the next time you access the Disney Channel app.
Video playback stalls or is choppy
Playback should not stop or stall under normal circumstances; however, video delivery may be disrupted during periods of network congestion, poor Internet connections, or when too many Internet connected devices are connected at the same time.
 
Please try one or all of the following:
1. Press the back button on the remote to activate the rewind scrubber back in time several minutes in the on demand program timeline
2. Close the selected app and open it again
3. Disconnect other Internet (e.g. Wi-Fi) connected devices that may be connected at the same time
4. Plug your Apple TV into a wire connection instead of using Wi-Fi
5. Restart your Apple TV device as a last resort

Is the Disney Channel app available outside the U.S.?
The Disney Channel app is only available if you're physically located within the U.S. or its territories (including Puerto Rico, Guam, Saipan, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands or Bermuda).
If you're physically located on a U.S. military base that happens to be outside the U.S. and you are using a military-operated Internet connection (not a commercial Internet provider), then you will be able to access content in the Disney Channel app.

Why can't I find or watch certain Disney Channel episodes or movies that on TV online?

That particular episode or movie may have expired or is no longer available. If the content programming has expired, we unfortunately no longer have the rights to distribute online.

When do new episodes get added?
 
New episodes are added regularly. If you subscribe to one of our participating TV providers, you will be able to access full-episodes the day after they broadcast.
Is there a schedule feature?

 

The schedule is under Live and allows viewers to see up to 24 hrs into the future.

Can I resume playing a full-episode video from where I left off?
 
Yes, if you’re on the same device, the player will automatically remember where you left off and allow you to resume the video you were watching. To resume playing a full episode, access the episode from the Show page
 

 

Is closed captioning available?
Closed captioning is available for most, if not all, on demand full-episodes. Follow the steps below to turn CC on/off:
1. Swipe down on the remote touch surface to open the Accessibility Menu
2. Swipe right on the remote touch surface to highlight "Subtitles"
3. Swipe down on the remote touch surface to make your selection
4. Swipe up on the remote touch surface to close the Accessibility Menu
When activated check mark will appear. 
For "Live" programming, most shows have closed captioning available.

Is the Remote application for iOS compatible with the Disney Channel application on Apple TV?
Yes. To activate, follow the steps below: 
1. Download "Remote" application in the App Store from your iOS device
2. Launch application
3. Turn on home sharing
4. Enter Apple ID and password that you are currently using with your Apple TV
5. Once home sharing is on, the Apple TV icon will appear on the mobile iOS device
6. Select Apple TV icon
7. In the top right corner of your device, select the icon with 4 arrows. Mobile device should now act as a remote for Apple TV
